Professor Robert N GibsonDeputy Head, Radiology Department The University of Melbourne. Consultant Radiologist, Department of Radiology, and Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Service, The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Head of Ultrasound Section, The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Supervisor in Training for Radiology Registrars, RMH Supervising co-ordinator for Advanced Medical Science students undertaking Radiology Studies. His main interests are in ultrasound and gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary radiology (both diagnostic and interventional). His publications include over 100 papers, several chapters and one textbook in these areas. Prof Gibson is very actively involved in medical education, most recently in the development of a new radiology undergraduate curriculum for medical students at The University of Melbourne; this curriculum forms the basis of the Medical Imaging CD-ROM currently available through eshowcase. He is a former Chairman of the Education Board of the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and was foundation editor of its journal (ASUM Ultrasound Bulletin). He is also on the editorial boards of several international journals. Current Research Interests include:
